How can I make a waterproof case for a mini-camcorder?

I'm going to buy a Creative Labs Vado HD. I was thinking that there should be an easy way to make one on your own. Without spending $20+ on a case.

The purpose is that I wanted to take footage on a kayak. I don't want it to get splashed, or fall in. Any advice?
